What a Day!

Well, where do I start.

It was rainbow day at kinder today, so finding something multicoloured for Brad to take to kinder was fun... not! But thats sorted and all is cool lol, we then have a fight to get Sian dressed, she likes to be a nudie these days! But that was done... all fine, off to kinder we go, all is going ok at this point until Kerryn and I head off for a walk and she starts filling me in on the stuff that has happened at the comittee meeting for the kinder and then how the letters (I am part of fundraising team and Kerryn is coordinator - or was) for donations that was supposed to go out 4 weeks ago only went out yesterday *shock*
We had a great walk but got back and find out 1 of the fundraising team has been spoken to by president and Kerryn then gets bailed up too. They don't feel like things are going quite like they should be. Ok fair enough, but Kerryn felt (as did some others) that it was more like a bit of an attack on her, and that it was quite rude the way she has been treated. So after much thinking and much stress, Kerryn has tonight resigned as coordinator. :( I think she would have done a great job.
But I then spoke to Angela one of the others on the team and she too has the feeling of not being given a go by last years committee (they did this and they did that!)
Then I get a call from the president to invite me to a 'emergency meeting' in the morning to try and find a new coordinator. Should be interesting... but I did do a very 'big' thing for me and told her exactly how I felt about it all. (I am very unconfrontational normally) But I did it in a civil way and she thanked me for being honest, so all good. But after feeling good about myself for being assertive, Angela then calls again to ask what Stephanie wanted as there was a message left for her. I now feel like hiding back in my shell. Why do I worry about what others think so much??
Oh well rant over... Hope tomorrow is a better day :-?

Digi LO

I am doing a Digital LO course online with TracyW and it's really cool. The stuff I have learned is amazing. Probably basic stuff really, but stuff I knew nothing about!! Tonight I have done this LO

and I am really pleased with how it has turned out. All the papers and elements were created by me!! Never thought I would be able to say that LOL

Anyways, yesterday (or day before now actually) was a crappy day and one I would care not to repeat. Today was better, but I tell you I hate PMS - it sux!!
My darling Bradley has just now gone to sleep!! Little beggar he is. I am enjoying chatting at the Cyber Crop on LC's

I was very amused at Sian this evening who while out shopping proceed to call out to Gareth quite loudly. Not daddy, nooo - he has been Mummy and is now Gareth, it's really cute IMO.
She is a typical girl, took her shopping for some new shoes (she is 19months) and I held up 4 pairs to see which ones she went for first.... she proceed to grab them all and put them in the trolley .... her dad put a stop to that pretty fast though HAHA!
Oh well enough dribbling....I just want to say thanks for stopping by.

PS I found out a few weeks ago that Moi knows a woman that I use to work with and now I find out that we use to live not that far apart LOL - what a small world it is!!
Night :-D

Another Fantastic Night

Oh my ........

Yes a brilliant night.

The women's hammer throw gold medallist is from Adelaide and her sister works with my mum - so to see her not only win gold but break the commonwealth record was special.
And to see the EAD 100m womens race - Katrina Webb was at the same school as me in my high school years! So they were a couple highlights for me.
Seeing the 5000m was fantastic and Craig Mottram being a victorian the crowd were going crazy. And the guy who was lapped and got huge cheers when he crossed the line.

The mens shotput final with the guy from the ad on tv..... one with ballerina's (who they are advertising escapes my memory right now though)
The 100m mens and womens - wow they are fast although I still think Asafa Powell still slowed down before the end of his race

The commentator who was comical.... the atmosphere and the mexican waves and and and
At one point they had to ask the crowd to be quiet, and then at the start of the next race the commentator just goes Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
(was really quite funny at the time )

it's really great to be a part of, I am so glad I managed to get there.

I am now also going to the gymnastics on saturday with a friend as her sister can't go and has offered me her ticket

Fantastic!!

Well yesterday we headed into the MCG to watch the athletics. It was mind blowing.
We arrived around 1030 and got to see the mens 100m heats. Including the world record holder (Jamaica's Asafa Powell) He was quite funny as in the first heat he took off and then must have thought oooh too far ahead as you could see him slow down at around the 50m mark. In his next heat he didn't slow down until 75m. But both times he still cruised home. I think it will be great tonight as I am going to the evening session with a friend and will get to see him at his fastest (hopefully). Anyway back to yesterday, the roar of the crowd when they are getting behind the aussies was deafening. The atmosphere was electric and seeing an aussie girl come home first in the marathon was magic and the total effort of the 7th place aussie girl who fought her hardest to reach the line. And to see her presented with her medal and stand with her for the national anthem (there is nothing like it to bring out the pride of being an aussie!!) then to have her make a comment like this ....
"I came up to the stadium thinking, 'Silver's pretty darn good. I'd be happy with silver'," said McCann.

"I came through the tunnel and heard the crowd roar. That wasn't me running that last 300 metres."

and knowing I was part of that crowd :-)
and to top off a fantastic day, I got to meet and speak to Steve Moneghetti. Which for me was pretty exciting!
The kids were good and behaved and I was fast asleep before 10 last night because of exhaustion LOL

Really looking forward to tonight too :-)

Happpy - Saaad

LOL

I am Hap Hap Happy - I won an encouragement award for my LO 'Love is...' I am sooo rapped. (For any interested !! (www.onestopscrapping.com.au)
I met up with Jac today from the LC's Creative Forum (www.lcscreative.com.au) What a lovely person she is, and gorgeous boys too.
I am feeling like I have lost cm's as my clothes seem a little looser. woohoo

But I am also a little sad tonight. I think it's partially tiredness and partially missing my DH - which is weird as I only saw him this morning when I took him to work. But I think it's more because it's friday night and he isn't due home til around 11pm (he is going to the rugby 7's tonight). I still not quite sure why I am getting this sense of lonliness tonight though. lol

Yesterday was a total pamper day and I must say apart from the kids being a little ratty last night it was an awesome day.
I am off to the athletics on Sunday with my family and then again on Monday with my Best friend - looking forward to that too!!

So thats the best and worst of it all. I am still so happy that I won something which is more than I thought I would do for a long time

Gym Update

Well, I have been twice now to the gym and I love it. I wonder if and how long before it wears off LOL
I am finding that I am not tooo sore after, I do get a little stiff, but nothing like I thought I would be. I am really hoping at my first 'weigh in' (about 5 weeks I think) that there are some good results as I know that will keep me motivated.

I am enjoying the digi course - and am picking up some great things that I never knew about.
So Friday night I did a paper LO - Lesa's sketch challenge on OSS (www.onestopscrapping.com.au) and a Digi LO for Lesson 2 of TraceyW's digi course.
No hubby tonight, so hoping to get kids to bed early and scrap (shhhh! we know about planning to scrap don't we LOL)

Thought for today

Well I did it

I have signed up for the gym, I start tomorrow and have a long way to go. But I know I will feel much better for it. On the days I have been exercising I am feeling much happier, so this is all good. My only disappointment is that my friend is not going to be able to join with me. We were all set to go and then she has had to pull out, :-( but I totally understand. I know she was really looking forward to it though and that also makes me a little sad.
I have had a productive scrap day, and have done 2 8x8 LO's, although the first is more like 9 x 9 and doesn't fit the album..... hands up the dummy who forgot to trim the page down before sticking everything down!! I must say I am quite pleased with the outcome anyway.
I have signed up for the 6 part digital scrapbooking course, which covers some of the basics of digital scrapping, but am looking forward to doing that as well.
I feel a bit exhausted today, but I also feel with the changes that I am making that my life is starting to take a turn for the better :-)

who would think....

It's my best friends birthday today... Happy Birthday Kerryn!!
But ...... I want someone else to have your jinx now LOL
Kerryn told me a couple years ago that she always did something to hurt herself (accidentally) on or around her birthday..... welllll Last year when collecting dinner on the way to Kerryn's party I fell down a small flight of stairs and scraped my arm and leg and had some really 'nice' bruises (ouch) But Kerryn didn't have any accidents that year YAY!!
But.... tonight (well last night now)I am getting DS out of the car at the shopping centre and had to stand on the painted curb/hump next to the car as there was not alot of room. Before I knew it bang, I was flat on my back on the ground (ouch) That bloomin thing was very slippery as I found out :(
So tonight 12 months on I again have a scraped arm and I think mauybe a few bruises and a stiff neck too :( - I am praying that I have once again 'saved' Kerryn from an accident this year. :-D

Yay!!

well on friday last week I joined in on a cyber crop at The Craft Attic (www.craftattic.com.au) thanks to Kate for posting an invite on the forum. :) Now I must say - wow, it was a great night with some really great challenges and I won an instant prize for getting a question correct. Woo hooo. It's another great forum, that I now have on my daily visit list *lol*
Saturday and Sunday were fairly good days with swimming and some shopping although, Saturday was quite funny. We decided we were going shopping and then it POURED down with rain and here are we stuck out trying to get the shopping into the car. So as DH has a cold I opted that he stay with the kids while I went and unloaded the trolley, it wasn't so bad as it was warm summer type rain, however when we then went into coles I froze, soaked to the bone in an airconditioned store. So after all the shopping was done we came home and I had a lovely warm shower and got into my daggy warm clothes and I was actually feeling really cozy and quite happy. I must be crazy... happy about being soaked *lol*
Monday we got our pay tv installed... I finally gave in and let DH have it on. Kinda glad now as I have discovered DIY Scrapbooking on How to channel :-D
Tuesday was a very productive day with me getting alot of housework done (wouldn't know it now though) and then today we had kinder for Brad and we came home after we dropped him off and had coffee with some friends, which was really nice. Tomorrow Kerryn and I are going walking around the lake which I am looking forward too. As we didn't walk today and won't be able to again on friday. We have Kerryn's birthday on saturday which I think will be alot of fun too. Sunday I think we are going to go to the Highland games here in Ringwood, something different, but a good day out with the family.
If you have read this far, yay! I thought I might have bored everyone to sleep by now haha!
