Wow is it really only 6 Days until Christmas???
So much to tell and photos to share... (I will share photos when the internet is no longer capped *roll eyes* )
So in December we have had concerts, catchups, school transition, lots of sickness,
ups, downs, highs and lows
We have had Brad's Carols at school which was really good, especially when a group of the teachers and parents got up and sang we are the world, everyone joined in and made it fun. It was a fantastic thing that Craig Irvine put together. He is a fantastic teacher and I must say I am really pleased to hear he is helping out with the preps next year as well as being the PE teacher. Brad has a new teacher (Marnie Ross) and a new class for next year. A few faces from this year in there with him, but for the first time he and his best mate are in different classes. I think this could be a good thing though in the end as the boys both excel in different areas and I think this will show in the classes that have been formed.
Sian has Ros Hill as her teacher, I think she will be a fantastic teacher also. She is not the teacher Brad had in prep, so it will be an interesting experience to see how their teaching styles vary.
Sian had her concert at kinder and this was a little emotional after being at the kinder for 4 years this was the last one. A great feeling to be finished kinder and 2 different drop offs and pick ups. But sad to say goodbye to a fantastic staff and families from the 4 years. Sian and Bec are going to a different school to the rest of the kids. She is really excited about school, but hasn't quite grasped that she is not going back to kinder.
We have all been sick ... I have had a cough/cold for over a month now and I am over it!! The doctors say it's a virus and there is nothing that can be done other than to rest... something that I am not great at doing! Brad still has a really bad cough and they say just treat it with ventoling... rather frustrating as I don't feel like it is getting any better.
I am hoping that the holiday to South Aus will see us all getting some rest and coming home a little healthier.
My friends little girl was born at 27 weeks, but the good news is that she is doing really well. I just hope that the nasty nurse is sorted out. She doesn't need the added stress. From all I believe most of them are good though. Sending lots of strength to Miss Lucy (Lucinda Grace) gorgeous name :)
We caught up with Kerryn and Peter for Christmas the other week and that was a great night with some really yummy food made by Kerryn and a choc ripple cake from myself.
I have really done no craft for ages now. I am hoping I will get back into it in the new year.
Work is up and down. I have had time off with illness and then all christmas activities and I think that might have annoyed the agency a little, as I suddenly had my hours cut back, but that's life I am casual after all. That is going to change in the new year though I believe... I already have a full week the first week in January. I enjoy my job though some times it is hard to get myself motivated to get there. Once I am there I am fine.
I am really looking forward to catching up with some scrappy friends tonight and then heading off to SA early Wednesday morning :D
If I don't update again .. Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year, may 2010 be everything you hope for.

Anniversary's Birthday's and a trip to Torquay
Happy Birthday to Miss Bec who is now 5 :D
Happy Anniversary to Kez and Pete - 9 years today yay!
and most importantly Happy Anniversary to my Darling Husband - 8 Years ... how times flies it's been a pleasure (most of the time and I am sure you would say the same about me :P ) and I look forward to many many more to come :D
I have been all over the place with my moods and it's feeling like a roller coaster... I know that sleep plays a huge part in how I manage things in general. This week at work I haven't coped well at all. I have had 9am starts, which I have enjoyed to some extent, being home in the evenings. But... Getting up at 6am to make sure we are all ready and dropping kids to before school care/creche etc and then not getting home until after 6pm has really killed me. I felt guilty saying no I can't work today when they called this morning, but another day this week would have sent me into meltdown I think. Back to normal lates next week and I must say that will be a relief to be more relaxed in the mornings.
We are trying to make a decision what to do with the cats over the Christmas holidays. Our friends who would normally help out are away as well, so thats a bugger :( We have another friend who maybe able to help us out. Otherwise I will have to start looking into other options. Cheeky buggers they are though. Smokey killed one of my fish grrrrr ... they have pulled the curtain down, knocked over the pot plants. Just being cats... but pushing my buttons at the moment LOL ... still love them though.
Now a trip to Torquay with our friends on Sunday was a great day out. First time I have been there.... but I really wouldn't say no to a holiday home there when I am rich (dreaming of course!)

It's been a busy week! Thankfully soccer commitments are over for a few months now. Had presentation day on Saturday. There for 830 to help set up and then stick around until about 3 to help pack up. Then on Sunday down to help pack up the club rooms to hand them back over to the cricket club. But it's done now. :D
Had a moment ..(poor Jaki!) I have 2 Jaki F's in my phone.... well I had to call the soccer Jaki on Saturday to see where she was... hmmm yes you guessed I rang the wrong one and could work out why she didn't know what I was talking about *blush* Was lovely to say Hi anyway :D
The last week of term 3, Only 1 more term and my baby girl is a school girl *yikes* Brad is looking forward to having his little sister at school. He is coming along well with his writing which I am really pleased with. Still a way to go, but you can really see the improvement.
I have exercised every day for the last week, except for Friday I had a day off. Due to unfortunate eating choices though thinks are not going quite as well as they were. I had lost nearly a kilo by day 4 and then had put half a kilo back on by day 6 :( But never mind back on track. Baby steps and I will get there.
I am hoping the weather stays nice this afternoon so I can take some photos of 2 little girls dressed as fairies :D My friend's daughter wants a photo canvas of her and Sian dressed as fairies :D I though that was so sweet. Kerryn ( her mum) is going to make it for her to put on the wall.

Yay to Brad
Brad got Pupil of the week award yesterday ... kicking myself that I didn't stay for assembly. Oh well
It was for their Hands on Science incursion that they had. For proving that being a scientist - exploring and experimenting is fun!

Life
in general is going rather fast at the moment.
I scrapped yay!!! 3 LO's in as many days. that's alot for me. Being over at Bon's Forum inspired me this week. :D I really loved Bon's Colour Challenge for her 3rd Birthday Cyber Crop and this was the first CC challenge I tackled.
I have entered the DT challenge, not that I expect to actually get a position, but I enjoy just joining in.

We are doing 'home' work with Brad, working on his fine motor skills and trying to improve his hand writing. He has taken to doing it reasonably well.
Work is going ok. The agency are not the greatest to be working for... but I am hanging in there hoping for something a little more permanent down the track ... may never happen, but I know I have the boss on my side :D
I am finding it hard working all lates as I miss the kids in the evenings,.... but this is the best way to work it, they see both of us and I am there to drop them off and Gareth picks them up. Gareth and I see each other for a couple hours in the evenings... I just know that as a family we are going to have to make the most of our weekends now. ... But in saying that... I only have been rostered 2 days next week. :)

LO's from Bon's retreat
Had an awesome weekend away with the girls from Bon's scraps :D I got a few things done!
A mini album which was Bon's class

A LO thats been sitting here for at least a couple years unfinished.

Charm's class instructions were used to do a boy version of her LO

I also scraplifted Bon for the challenge set on the Sunday.

Work is going well..... I am now doing 1234 which includes alot more 'customer service freedom' if that is the way to put it. There is only 2 from our training group left now though as the hours haven't been enough for alot of them, suits me really well though.

A 5 year old and Some new glasses
Well 2 weeks training at work and 530am starts and I am now a 1234 operator! It's actually fun having the variety of calls now, even if they are few and far between.
My Beautiful little lady turned 5 on Wednesday! I can't believe it has gone so quick. She had a little party at creche on Wednesday and then had friends over today to help celebrate, and on Monday I will be at kinder to help her celebrate with kinder friends. :)

And my little man got his first ever glasses today. He looks so cute in them. I am wishing he didn't need them, but that is life and it's better that it was picked up now.

wow a month
Has gone by already ... getting a little slack these days!
Welll I didn't get photos of the LO's etc from the retreat. Gareth took the canvases to work and I have been too slack thus far to photograph the rest!!
We have been over to SA to visit Mum and Dad and as always the week went waaaay to fast. It was a relaxing and fantastic week though. The trip over and back were both done without overnight breaks this time, but it went so smoothly it was fantastic compared to normal.
On the way home we stopped at Bordertown and visited the white kangaroos. These have been there (or ones like them) since I was little and remember visiting them with Mum and Dad. It was special for me to take my kids to see them.

Work has been going really well. I have been enjoying it greatly. I start training on Monday for 2 weeks. Learning the premium service Sensis offer is going to be more involved and heaps of fun I think. :D It will be interesting to see what happens to our hours after we finish training wether we get more or they stay the same. Personally I am quite happy with what we have been getting.... at least until Sian starts school in January.
Brad and I went to have our eyes tested yesterday. Mine have got slightly worse, but not enough to have to worry about changing prescriptions. Brad's on the other hand have got to the point that he now has to wear glasses for board work at school and watching tv at home. He picked out some frames (with help) and they look so cute. I wish he didn't need them, but that's life and it's better that they picked it up now rather than later.
Only 3 weeks to go now until I go on another retreat :D This time it is with the lovely girls from Bon's scraps. I can't wait it will be a nice break after 2 weeks of training.
Well that's about it for now that I can think of anyways. I will try not to leave it another month before updating again as we have a special date for a little lady in less than 2 weeks!
