Hehe .. Things here have taken a turn for the better in the last week. :D
It had reached the point at my current position that I was going to leave without finding another postition. I just couldn't take the travelling anymore... but on assessment of our finances it was discovered I had to stay on until another position came up.... well the next day there was a position within the same employment agency come up that was closer to home... my spirits soared and I contacted my team manager.
The response came this morning that she couldn't transfer me over as it was a different 'banner' within the company and I would have to go through the full application process. So I sent off my application and keeping my fingers crossed that it would go well as they are after alot of positions.
A matter of hours later the phone rang and I was being asked to do a phone/screening interview... but not for that position. This was for another agency and they are employing for a help desk position for the NAB .... after the process over the phone I have been asked to come in for a face to face interview on Wednesday afternoon!!
How excited am I!! It is only about 15- 20 mins or so from home ... free onsite parking. A view to permanency for the right person!
and then Ashleigh my Agency manager copies me in on an email saying this.....
Sam Jones would like to apply for the ATO position in Box Hill.
She currently works for me at Sensis and has done so for a few years now.
Sam is a fantastic operator and a pleasure to work with, although I do not want to lose her, she needs to be closer to home and her kids
I didn't think my smile could get any bigger today.... I was wrong.
So fingers, toes and anything else crossed now. :D :D
in other news .... I am SO proud of my little man... he has finally learned to ride without training wheels and moving ahead in leaps and bounds..... so now it's Sian's turn.... her trainers have come off now too and I think as long as we get her out there every couple of weeks she will be riding solo in no time.
My gorgeous hubby is still having a frustrating time with his work... But he handles it well most of the time and when he doesn't then I think he is entitled to be grumpy and tired.... although he doesn't show that much either really.
I can't believe it is May already and that Brad is nearly 8!! sheesh He is almost shoulder height when he stands next to me now too.... I think he will be as tall as me by the time he is 10.
Happy Birthday's go out to all my online friends little ones who have birthdays in April and May ... I know there is at least 3 and I am sure I am forgetting someone there too.
