Tuesday

After a beautiful weekend ... Monday was so windy and wet... total opposite to the extreme... crazy, but then it's lovely out there again today :o)

Yesterday we went and had a play at a friends house and it was a really good day.

This morning I got up and did a Wii workout (yay finally got my butt into gear!) Then the kids and I headed off to the shopping centre to see Angelina Ballerina for Sian and some AFL mascots for Brad... Brad was a little shy and didn't want his photo taken with them, Sian had no qualms at all and was up there giving Angelina a hug as soon as they were told they could.

Both kids were really well behaved and it was a pleasure to take them, not something I am normally saying when I am referring to the kids and the shops LOL!!

Sunny Sunday

It was beautiful weather out there today, it always seems to improve my state of mind when it's sunny. :0)

We let the kids have a sleep out in the lounge last night. It's something that I used to do when I was at school. :o) They thought it was fantastic. Then this morning we headed out to see Wall-e at the cinema, it was quite a funny movie actually. I giggled a few times. The kids were really quite well behaved, a few trips to the toilet and Sian with her rather loud comments, but nothing too serious!

We then headed home and I proceeded to put some washing on the line and do some weeding and planting in the garden. I think I might be a little sore tomorrow too haha! It will do me good though.

Shopping this afternoon and then home for a nice easy dinner and a relaxing night watching the box.

I am glad it is school holidays. It will be really good to have Brad home :) I think he can do with the break, and just lately I am finding it's really good to sit down and have a conversation with him, he is being more affectionate too, which is something I am not commenting on very much in case he gets self conscious and stops again. We are catching up with friends tomorrow and then on Tuesday I think we might head to Eastland as Angelina Ballerina is supposed to be there somewhere. At this stage I am not sure about Wednesday but I might try and catch up with another friend.
I am thinking that it will be packing on Thursday and then catching up with friends again on Friday before heading of to SA after Gareth finishes work.

I finally finished off my mini album made from a Kaisercraft Corkopia album. It was lots of fun. I believe Tracey has them in store over at One Stop Scrapping if you are looking for one. (photos will follow later ;) )

Ciao

The Fussball table!

Soccer over for another year.... well apart from the committee meetings which will continue, so that we are prepared for the start of next year with registrations etc.
We had a fantastic day at the Presentation Day on Saturday. I was up at the grounds about 8 with the other committee memebers to help set up and get things ready for the crowds. At the end of the day the committee decided to have a go on the human Fussball table... now that was so much fun!! Despite getting dumped on my butt and coping a ball to the face from a long shot and the leg at close range.

Sunday night we went out to a thank you dinner put on by the club for the volunteers (coaches, managers and comittee among others) I must say it was nice to put some names to faces. A great night out and I find out that Gareth wasn't feeling so well (self inflicted) when we got home... he hid it well as I didn't even pick that he was a bit tiddled LOL!!

I spent a good couple of hours out mowing the lawns yesterday and with the fussball on Saturday and the lawns yesterday I am feeling a little sore today... I really didn't sleep well either so that hasn't helped.

We had a glorious weekend weatherwise and perfect for drying clothes, but into the new week and the weather is really wild out there with strong winds and rain... I feel like putting the heater on... it's a bit crazy.

Here is a card I made for my Dear Dad for father's day :) and a photo of Brad at presentation day waiting for his trophy :)

Inspired

not to scrap unfortunately ... but I have been out in the garden a little the last few days =0) Thanks Tammy and Jaki for the inspiration. It's been fantastic to be out in the warm sunshine.

I received this really cool mini album from my friend Kerryn to cheer me up as I wasn't feeling the best earlier on this week. It made me smile and it's special :0)
(Photos later!)

I am having a Kazzaz Scrap Party next week, I am really looking forward to that, although I haven't many coming now :0( I think it will be fun anyway!

This weekend we have the soccer presentation day, with lots of fun things on for the kids. Then on Sunday night we are out with the coaches/team managers/committee members for an end of season wind up which will be great as well.

I can't believe the school holidays are here again! This year has seriously gone too fast. It's hard to believe that the end of the year is so close now and next year my little lady is in 4 year old kinder. I have decided next year I am not going to volunteer for the kinder committee and just be a kinder mum for our last year at the kinder (4th year running in 2009 with 3yo and 4yo for both kids) I have enjoyed being on the committee, but I think it would be nice to have a year off.

I have been doing some scrapping... not heaps but a few cards and a mini album for the Design Team over at One Stop Scrapping. This is still a work in progress though at the moment. It was going great guns, but then I started feeling a bit ill and I haven't got back to it yet.

Spring has Sprung (for now anyway)

I took these in the front yard today... this is one of my favourite things about spring!

Another Crash and The Snow

The Crash....

On Friday, while trying to get organised to go to the Snow on Saturday... we got hit in the back end by another car. Rather a shock to the system as it is the first accident I have ever had ... thankfully no one was hurt at all. The other car is alot worse off than the escape. I don't think there is much wrong with the escape apart from the exhaust will need replacing and the back bumper. The other car has a nice round hole in the bumper where the exhaust went through it and it's bonnet on the passenger side was quite crumpled. Everything is in the process to have it fixed and we have fingers crossed that we might have it back by Friday. The crash repair is ready to go as soon as the insurance company gets onto them, which should be 24 - 48 hours.

The Snow...

We headed off to the snow on Saturday morning nice and early. It turned out to be a nice smooth trip as Sian slept through the hills on the way there and back. The kids loved the snow... Brad's first glimpse of snow was pure delight. He was so excited and watched with eagle eyes for every bit of snow he could see on the way. When we got to the car park he was bursting at the seams!! Sian was a little more overwhelmed by it all. But once she was out in it she was loving it just as much as he was..... Brad being the little dare devil he is was on the toboggan and down the slope before we really knew what was happening LOL. Later on he went over to the slope that had some bumps and was a little faster and he was having so much fun. Sian went down with Gareth, but not really keen on going down on her own. The snowman didn't really happen as the snow was a little too compacted. We tried a couple times but didn't have a lot of success.

We headed back down the hill just after 11 and were very thankful we had arrived so early ... the top car park, was full as were the roads on both sides, the next car park was full and they were starting to fill the 3rd... the line up at the gate was huge as well!
Into Marysville and stopped for some lunch and for the kids to have a play in the playground before heading back to the warmth of home :o) We are thinking that we will go for a weekend with the kids next year and go to Mt Buller and with any luck be there when it is snowing.

This morning Sian was into the Doctor for her 4yo immunisation. I was dreading it as they know what is going on alot more at 4. But I am so proud of my little lady... she didn't even flinch! Watched the doctor put the needle in while madly wriggling her fingers and no tears, just chatting away... but she proceeded to tell me later that she had fun wriggling her fingers... "BUT the dot'ter had bad breff mummy!" I had to have a giggle at that!

This is a LO that I did for One Stop Scrapping in August
