long time between posts LOL

I have done some scrapping ... mostly for a competition over at Bon's Scraps. I really don't scrap enough anymore.... but Kerryn and I are going to a crop day next month, that will be good to just sit and scrap.

The last couple of weeks have felt really busy with kinder/dance/school/soccer/swimming etc. Today is a quiet home day and I must say I am really enjoying it.

Tomorrow I am doing a 4km walk around Lilydale Lake... for the walk around the lake ... which is to raise money and awareness for the Eastern volunteers.

Long weekend next weekend which will be nice as well ... except that Gareth is off playing with the 'Boys' for 2 of the days... so just me and the kids at home, still will be nice to not have to do much though.

The main fires here in Victoria are still burning :( Hoping for some rain to help put them out, but there is none predicted unfortunately.

I hope all the FNQ farmers and people affected by the floods are doing ok as well... they have been forgotten a little with all the devastation from the fires.

I will try not to leave it so long between updates next time LOL

Scrappers Unite

Sarah Gladman is asking all scrappers in Australia and Overseas to donate a LO or 2, this is to create albums for the bushfire victims. A fantastic idea. These are the 2 I created today as my contribution.

Black Saturday

Devastation, total and utter :( The worst bushfire in Australian history.

My heart goes out to all the families who have been affected by this disater. It is a long way from over.

We were in Marysville about 6 months ago having lunch in the bakery.... gone.... 12 months ago we were camping in the area and went through the fairy gardens and the areas surrounding... all gone. It's such a pretty area... the sadness behind it is that some of the fires were deliberately lit....WHY? I just don't understand how someone could enjoy doing something like that.

Even now listening to the helicopters fly over... know that they are probably airlifting people to hospital :(

These are some photos that I took on Saturday looking out our back door... and we are an hour from where the fires are.

Some photos from the garden that we went through in Marysville last year
