Almost New Year

Bring on 2011!!
A lovely Christmas at home, very quiet though. Slowly making my way through the unpacking, just need a couple more furniture items to store things in and we will pretty much be done. We are getting our full bond back on the old place. Yay. That wa nothing but a huge drama. I do hope 2011 will see karma coming back to bite some butts. I did get the first quiz done in my study. But I need to buckle down and do the rest now too. Those wedding photos have all been edited and printed and are sitting here waiting for me to stick them in the album. That is today's job while hiding out from the 44 degree heat here in SA. Off to the family reunion tomorrow. First time since being pregnant with Brad so that will be good to catch up with people. The weather is supposed to be a little cooler too so that is a bonus.

Almost Christmas

Life hasn't slowed down in the last couple of months!!!

Work is still going really well. Busy... but it should start slowing now that the Christmas rush is almost over.

We have moved to a new neighbourhood... not too far from where we were. But alot quieter and more kid friendly too it seems :D the kids from the street came knocking on the door asking my two to come up and play at the top of the street with them. (we live in a court now) :) That really made me feel good about the move more than anything. The new house is absolutely brilliant compared to the old place which was falling apart around our ears. The owners are determined to patch and re rent though. I pity whoever moves in there. I honestly believe it was having a negative effect on our family healthwise and mentally too. But onwards and upwards in a new chapter :D

Both kids got really good reports at school. Very proud of them both.

Still studying and still have to finish editing photos. (High priority to get them done now.) But hope to make more time to keep updating here.

Life is still as busy as ever. Work is going great :D I am now in my second unit of study. Sian has concert rehersal's for dance coming up and we have birthday's trivia night, shopping tour, school concert. and then it will start coming into Christmas parties arrgh. This time of year is out of control. I need to slow it down to my pace and take 1 day at a time and I will be ok. I really have awesome friends and family and I need to be thankful for you all. :D

I have always loved this prayer, but now it's somewhat becoming my 'motto' for life

God, grant us the...
Serenity to accept things we cannot change,
Courage to change the things we can, and the
Wisdom to know the difference
Patience for the things that take time
Appreciation for all that we have, and
Tolerance for those with different struggles
Freedom to live beyond the limitations of our past ways, the
Ability to feel your love for us and our love for each other and the
Strength to get up and try again even when we feel it is hopeless.

Melbourne Aquarium

We were given tickets by my friend Jules to visit the Melbourne Aquarium. We all had a ball there today. From the gorgeous penguins to the graceful rays and the weird and wonderful. Turtles are really cheeky and think with their stomachs instead of their heads. They always think they are hungry and most of the 'accidents' at the aquarium have been from turtles biting the feeders. The huge rays that were not fully grown were amazing when they are being fed. I will share some of my favourites.
