And away we go!!!!

Kerryn and I are off to the Yarra Valley Grange Resort this weekend for Scrappy Hollow's Retreat... Great child free relaxing weekend that I think we need.

So lucky I have a gorgeous hubby who spoils me... I am hoping the kids are on their best behaviour for him this weekend.

A bit of stress in the last couple of weeks with impending redundancies at his work. Well today there were redunancies, but thankfully Gareth wasn't one of them.

Will update more when I return nice and relaxed :)

over due

So much to tell, I have been so slack with updates.

- Work

I have been going well at work and loving it. It's so comfortable and familiar and I am enjoying it more. I have been taken off the mentoring/monitoring/new agent list and joined my official team. I have also been offered more training which involves a new program and more involved work. I am really excited about that. I felt a little wierd at first as I am the only 'new' one to be offered and there are alot of 'older - time not age' agents who still have not been training in this system. So given all this I am more confident that it will be a matter of time before I am offered a permanent postition. woohoo!!

- House

We had an inspection during the last week and was told to keep moving in the back of our minds due to the cracking getting worse. The agent seems to think that the landlord won't do anything, BUT just in case she does, we shouldn't rule it out.

-Retreat(s)

I am heading off to the Scrappy Hollow retreat in 2 weeks which will be great. I can't wait for a weekend of chilling out and scrapping with Kerryn and the SH group

I have also snagged a spot at Bon's retreat in August which was kind of a last minute spot that came up. I hadn't intended on going as I thought 2 so close together might be pushing my luck. But I am happy that I can go as there are so many Bon's girls to meet from interstate and it will be great catching up with the ones I have met already. Unfortunately Kerryn isn't coming to this one though. But it will still be fun I am sure.

- Medium/clairvoyant

I went to visit a medium on Monday and I am speechless, but alot more relaxed and comfortable now with things that happen around me.

The people who came through were

Pop - He said to say hi to the family and he is so proud of us. She nailed him perfectly though with his hat and radio and the fact that he would be more inclinded to sit in the background reading a paper than 'really' joining in on the conversation.

Nana - came through holding Dylan (my son) Nana wanted to say thank you to Mum and Dad for all they did. Chris talked about Nana's thin hair and her nature. She mentioned Dad's twin step brother's and about how she lived longer than Pop and that it was hard for her when he was gone. Oh and Soul was with pop and her too.

Grandma - This is the most definate and clear person that came through. Chris started holding her head and said how much pain it was in and then about Grandma's brain tumour. She talked about Grandma's knitting and her love of playing cards. She wanted to say hello and thankyou to mum and the family. She talked about Brad and Sian and how Sian's way of talking with her hands on her hips made her laugh.

There was also mention of Grandma's sister Hilda and that she was with her. There was mention of a child dying in a tragic accident and she gave me a name that was do... something... after speaking to my mum later on. I think she was talking about my great Auntie Doreen who lost a child in a tractor accident.

Gareth's parents were there too, although I didn't click until the session was almost over. Very early on Chris mentioned David and George (Gareth's Dad and Grandfather) They spoke about Brad's sporting abilities and how proud they were of the kids and that I would have got along well with Alice (Gareth's mum) Then they said don't forget his sister Linda she was here too. They say hello to the family as well.

The one that has me a little surprised is Anthony who was Jim's brother in law. He died in a motorcycle accident and she nailed that perfectly. He wanted to say hello because he never had the chance to meet me. He says that the relationship was always going to be a disaster waiting to happen.

They all spoke about the kids and how Gareth and I are so good together.

There is so much more and I could go on for hours about how she got names right and the things she could not have ever known. It is all on tape so that I can go back and listen which is great too.

Gareth is still a little sceptical, but he says he is not sure he 'wants' to believe... I think he is scared ... in the same breath I overhead him talking to the kids about how proud their Grandparents are of them :D
