Daffodil Day, A Crash & Some General Stuff

Brad's school joined in on Daffodil Day and raised over $800 which was fantastic, on Friday they asked all the kids to wear a touch of yellow to school ... well here is what Brad went with =0) He is a cutie (I know I am biased!)

Then the crash ... today I got a call to tell me Brad has had a bit of a crash on the asphalt and he is ok, but do I want to come and get him a little earlier than normal... well I wasn't expecting quite this. Ouch! Poor babe. He seems fine enough and is playing on it a little to get special treatment :) But hey why not!

Hmmm well my Dad is home again which is good news... he had a bit of a scare and spent a week in hospital having tests and more done. It appears he has a blockage in his heart :( But they are using medication to try and 'disolve' it. If that doesn't work then it may come down to a bypass :( We all have our fingers crossed that the medication works. He is giving up smoking again which is a bit hard, but a necessity.
It's really hard being so far away from them. But then I am not really sure what I could do anyway other than be supportive.

We are off to the snow next weekend which the kids are going to love. They were a little disappointed that we didn't go this weekend as planned, but we didn't have any gear booked and they had none left, so we put it off. But I am glad I think as I wasn't feeling very energetic and my friend wasn't well either.

I have decided that next year I am not going to be on the kinder committee, it's not that I haven't enjoyed it, more that I would like to enjoy our last year at the kinder with Sian and not have to worry about committee commitments :)

Soccer is drawing closed again for this year and we are debating on wether to let Brad do another activity or just leave it as is until next year.
I have decided that I won't start Sian at dancing until the new year as all the others are ready to do the concert at the end of the year and Sian would go in well behind the group and wouldn't take part in the concert. Which that in itself doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't like her to be put off because the other kids were so more advanced and confident than her.

I have had spring cleaning fever today and cleaned the bedroom, over under behind and around everything. It's all sparkly and clean and uncluttered, and it's a good feeling. I am hoping to do another room tomorrow and give the whole house a total cleaning and declutter.

yay!!!

Huge thanks to Ann =) I was one of the names drawn from her lucky bag and I am now looking forward to using her chipboard designs on a page. To check out Ann's creations head to her blog. HERE

This Saturday we have a gala day at soccer, it's not going to be a long day, but it is going to be jam packed with games.
The exercise has dropped off here again... but I am hoping to get back into it. I have had ear infections and the likes to deal with which hasn't helped. It now looks like Sian might have one too (ear infection that is!) :( We are to the doc this morning.

Sad news from Mum last week. Mum's Uncle Don passed away on the 7th of August and My Auntie Lola (Dad's step sister) passed on the 8th :( Mum and dad went to both funerals this week.

We went to Brad's first ever school concert last week and it was just gorgeous. The preps did Teddy Bear's picnic and then Jelly Bean Jive. They were all so cute. The whole school did a sensational job. Sian and her friend Bec did really well to sit still nearly the whole time, it was really only in the last 15 minutes or so that they got a little ratty. But they are only 4 after all LOL

Happy Birthday to my friend Li for next week.

I am slowly getting some scrapping done which is good, I have been so slack, but that needs to change as I have things that really need to be done.

ok been to the doctor .... Sian has an ear infection ... which shouldn't happen with grommets... so they think that the grommet has started closing over. She also has large red tonsils ... it could be that she has large tonsils and they are red from the cold ... or that they are large and red from tonsilitis. The doctor says at this point he can't say, because he is not sure if she has large tonsils when she doesn't have a cold etc!

Out for dinner tonight with a group from Gareth's work which should be nice. There will be face painting and fun for the kids too.

woohoo!!

A couple weeks ago Ann announced that she is now a designer of Chipboard products :o)
Huge congrats to her. I truly love her work and this is now a great addition to her profile.

At the moment Ann is giving away goodies over here to celebrate the release of her first line of 'designed by Ann'

I wish her lots of success :o)

Attitude and lots of it

Wow ... seriously I can't get over how much attitude my little girl has!! She has just about driven me nutty today, I can remember Brad having an attitude, but I don't remember it being quite this bad ... maybe time has faded the memory a little?? Or is it that girls are more trying?

oh well, it's all a learning experience :o)

My exercise has dropped off over the last 2 weeks, But I have got back into it this morning and am really going to try making more of an effort. I feel so much better when I am exercising, not only physically but mentally as well.

I also need to make more of an effort to get back into my scrapping again too, that is another area that has dropped off lately :( I just have no motivation.

Sian was so cute last night she was doing ballet along with the Bella ballerina DVD at a friend's house.... on the way home she asked me whether she could do dancing. It's something that we had been talking about for awhile so I might look into it a little more seriously now. It's just a matter of moving Brad's swimming day to another day so that I can get her into the class I would like her to go to.

I am also really looking forward to seeing Brad in his first ever school concert next week. I think it's going to be so cute. I know that the preps are doing Teddy Bears picnic along with another song. My only disappointment is that I will not have my camera to be able to take photos of the occasion. :(

When I was out the other week the settings dial snapped off :( The camera is only 3 months old! It is under warranty the only problem is that I need to send it off to be fixed and they advised that it will take about 4 weeks (maybe more) no camera for that long! It will feel like I lost a limb LOL

If you pop in please say hi :)
