Happy Birthday to my BIG Girl

Yesterday was my little girls 3rd birthday. I can't believe that she is 3, no longer a toddler but a pre-schooler

She got a cabbage patch pony from our friends Kerryn and Peter which she has named Butterscotch.

from us she was given a kitchen and a scooter

She received a pizza and accessories from our friends Matt and Jenni (no photos yet)and a big thanks to Jenni for the Dora cake :)
and a book by Mem Fox from Peter and Sue.
I believe there is still a special something coming from Nana and Grandad too :-D

hi de ho

We have paid off our car!!!! How exciting is that (well for us it is LOL ) extra money coming in to get some of those other debts out of the way ;)

My baby girl turns 3 on Sunday and I am feeling quite sad... What is it about three?
They go from being a toddler to being a more independant little person. The changes in Sian in the last few weeks have been really noticable, it's great to see her growing and learning but I also want to keep my babies forever!! Sigh

We headed to the ice hockey on Saturday night and had an enjoyable evening, the kids behaved well, which was nice although it was a rough match, first time here in Aus that I have seen match penalties handed out. A win to the Melbourne Ice though. Unfortunately they got a beating on Sunday night though.

I managed a few Layouts this week more than I have in awhile so that's pretty cool.
I have entered into a DT competition over at Scrap'n Crazy and can't share that LO, but I did these 2 for challenges over at OSS.

We have found out Gareth's niece is getting married in 2009 :-) big congrats to her and her guy. I threw the idea out to Gareth that maybe we save and head over there for it. See how it goes ;) (Gareth's family is all in the UK)

We have the new Harry Potter book and I am patiently waiting for Gareth to finish it so that I can start :) Gareth went and lined up to get it on Saturday morning (he is a good lad! )

I have been making blinkies everywhere, which is really fun too. I started with making some for OSS and then Bon's from there it was Aussie Scrapjacked and also Scrap Pile. It was really funny as I had people from different places asking almost at the same time... HaHa!!

I will put them up here and if anyone wants to pinch them they can ;) I have done DT ones also, but I won't share those ;)

Do you have a minute?

Mount Franklin have created The Well of Positivity and if you donate a thought to the well, they will pay $1 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation for every thought donated. So for a minute of your time they will donate to this wonderful charity.
The Well of Positivity is now sitting at $803 and with your help, they can make the targeted $150,000 to go with the $100,000 that they have initially donated. So head over there and add your positive thought and help a worthy charity.
If you leave a positive thought, leave me a comment so we can keep track of how much we help raise. Remember that you can donate more than once so why not help this wonderful charity raise money.

LO's to share

I have been really struggling to scrap lately :( if you find my mojo can you send it home please!!

This one was for a CC at Bon's and I won (woohoo) I am really pleased with it and it was one that came together easily (apart from the fact I forgot to cut down the sheet first, so it's too long for my album!)

This next one was done today at the Scrap'n'Chat that I went to in Belgrave.

It was a good day and I met some lovely girls that I chat to over at Bon's and would you believe (still laughing) that Dee who used to be on the DT at OSS the other forum that I chat on, was there and we didn't say hi to each other as we both were too shy!! DOH!

Brad goes back to kinder on Monday and I think he is happy about that (as am I) but we are working on his emotional issues that he has and starting to make progress I think. We are trying to teach him compromise and I think he is understanding, yesterday we caught up with one of his little mates and they were playing when Brad comes up and says in a serious voice "Mum, we have a situation here, but it's ok because we are going to do this first and then we will do that next" How gorgeous is he ... but he sounded so grown up

Sian has a bruised lip :( she tripped over her own feet and bit her lip :( poor munchkin.

Oh well, until next time

time for an update

It's school holidays and the first week is nearly over already!! We still haven't heard from the Eye and Ear Hospital as to when Sian is likely to go back in to have her ear redone. But her speech is coming along well. I have had a few people comment on it. Which is fantastic.

I want to say a BIG Happy Birthday to a little guy in the UK who turned 6 yesterday. Hope you had a great day Thomas, sorry I was slack and didn't send a card :(

My friends little guy turned 1 this week as well and she had a painting party for him on the weekend which was really cool. She pretty much covered floors and walls in her lounge (which they are going to renovate soon) and let the kids go mad with paint. I know Brad and Sian really enjoyed themselves and the thumbs up from Sian as she walked past me with a paint brush said it all!!!

Brad has made a little mate (Sam) through soccer and Gareth and Peter (Sam's Dad) had been having a ball talking about their growing up in the UK. Well I met Sue and their other son Jake the other weekend and they are lovely people and I think it's really great to have friends who come from the UK, they so 'get' Gareth and his ways LOL It was a fantastic day and I think Saturday's are likely to become a catchup day with them.

Gareth and I went to the movies the other night to see Pirates of the Caribean 3, it was great as we were in gold class thanks to some complimentary tickets. I don't think number 3 was a good as the other 2 movies before it though. Big thanks to our friends Kerryn and Peter for babysitting so that we could go.

hmmm can't think of much else at the moment, but I will sign off with some Layouts and photos :)

This is a Layout for Bon's CC

This is for the progressive challenge at OSS

and a couple of the kids... the one of Sian was taken using the chrome setting, interesting effect
